Update 17/06/2021 : Closed in 2014 on the death of the long-serving landlord. Subsequent attempts to secure planning permission for residential conversion were rebuffed. Reported in 2019 that it had been bought by a couple who intended reopening it as a pub but no news since.

Had been up for sale for some time but the owner has taken it off the market to 'give it another go,. At the time of writing (December 2021), only open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.
