Built in 1959 for Simonds Brewery and retaining two of the original three rooms plus skittle alley, making it a rare post-war survival. As with the Hartcliffe above, the plain fittings may seem austere and even uninviting to modern eyes but interiors like this remind us ‘how we were’ and do possess a simple dignity.
