Splendid four roomed pub with an 18th century brick front to an earlier building. The tiny snug at the front could have originally been an off-sales; it has a counter at least 50 years old and tongue and groove panelling with a bare bench attached, but the bar back shelves are modern. The lounge on the left (originally the 'Public Parlour') has a fine brick fireplace, painted wainscoting and a counter from (probably) the 1970s. However the layout is not the original as part is on a slightly higher level and was probably enlarged when new toilets were added at the rear. A passage leads to two small rooms on the right, at least one of which was brought into use in more recent times. The counter in the front room could be old; the rear room has been doubled in size in recent years.
