good example of a Victorian pub interior with a number of small rooms around a servery each separated by low partitions one door has a clearance of only 5 ft 6 ins. The original curved bar counter and elaborate bar back remains; look for the Victorian fireplace behind the bar. It won a CAMRA award for its sympathetically renovation in the 1990s when two small rooms on the left amalgamated and extra room added.
